![]() TL DR: Copy the "Mame 2003 Plus" thumnails folder and name it just "MAME", the thumbnails should now show up. ![]() TRUE in Alpha, and FALSE in Neo for me made it so that the Neo set I had re-scanned in correctly as Neo instead of Alpha. You can get new correct 2003+ roms, or you can use standalone mame with the 2003+ XML file to rebuild them into the proper format.įor FBA/FBNeo, it's much more annoying and there's some sort of bug where one set is detected as the other because they are largely the same set, so you have to manually edit the two core info files, the "database_match_archive_member" line. It's not about the name, "gunbird.zip" or whatever, it has to be exactly what the MAME 2003-Plus romset is looking for inside of each zipped rom. I believe the desktop UI pulls from MAME 2003-Plus folder as it should (and it's where the files go when you drag and drop images into the 3 thumbnail slots), but then the XMB pulls from MAME, so in order to have thumbnails in both, you have to manually clone the files between those two folders.Īs for getting roms to scan in, if you have the real correct set for MAME 2003-Plus, like 90% of them should scan in just fine. The Desktop UI and the main XMB/Ozone UI PULL THUMBNAILS FROM DIFFERENT FOLDERS FOR THE SAME CORE. ![]() So to get the thumbnails you basically have to have a game from one of the other sets to access the download entire system button, and then copy the files over.
